The Green Line is one of the two lines on the Dubai Metro (the other is the Red Line) which was opened in September 2011.
The line is 14 miles long and runs from Etisalat Metro Station in Al Qusais to Dubai Healthcare City Metro Station, passing through the densely populated areas of Deira and Bur Dubai.
20 stations are currently open. There are two transfer stations where passengers can transfer to the Red Line, Union and Burjuman. 5 miles of the line (from Abu Baker Al Siddique to Oud Metha) is underground.
Al Jadaf and Creek stations have been built but are not yet open as the developments served by these stations have not been completed.
Trains run at every 6 minutes of intervals during peak hours (6 am t 8 am and 6 pm to 9pm) and every 8 minutes at other times.
Drivers can park their cars at the park & ride facility at Etisalat Metro Station. There are spaces for around 2,300 cars and parking is free for Metro passengers.
